- GULF OF MEXICO - (May 8, 2010) Crew members from USCGC Harry Claiborne (WLM 561) observe the operation of a Vessel of Opportunity Skimming System (VOSS) as it collects oil from the Gulf. VOSS is used to help remove oil from the ocean surface.
