GULFPORT, Miss. (April 30, 2010) Isidro Campos, a diesel mechanic supporting the Emergency Ship Salvage Material System from Port Hueneme, Calif., inflates an oil containment boom for staging at the port of Gulfport. The Supervisor of Salvage and Diving division sent 66,000 feet of inflatable oil boom, skimming systems, related support equipment and personnel April 28 to support clean-up efforts for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The material sent is being staged at various ports and Naval bases along the Gulf Coast. More than 1,000 personnel are involved in the response effort both on and off shore with additional resources being mobilized as needed. (USN) 10Spill0430-N-7367K-005
